A STUNNING second half comeback was not enough to rescue Selby Warriors ARLC as they were beaten 42-34 at home by Lock Lane in the Forty-20 Yorkshire Men’s League.
Lock Lane were 30-6 up at half-time, with the only score for the hosts coming from hooker Bobby Evans.
After conceding another try after the break, the Warriors turned the game on its head thanks to forwards Jason Roberts, Mark Hanson and Gareth Dyas.
The Selby try-scorers were Ben Hopkins, Evans, Dyas, Jimmy Hanson and Mark Hanson. Jimmy Hanson kicked five goals.
However, with Selby two points behind and pressing for a winning score, Lock Lane managed to seal the match with another try.
