DEBUTANT Poppie Jaram helped to steer Yorkshire girls under-13s into the semi-finals of the Inter-County Squash Championships.
The ten-year-old York youngster and her Tykes team-mates beat Lincolnshire, Derbyshire and Cumbria to top their group in the tournament at Hull.
Acomb-based Jaram, who was a runner-up in the Sporting Hero section of The Press’ York Community Pride awards this year, played as number one girl in Yorkshire’s team of three and won two of her three matches.
The semi-finals will be held in January.
