PARK Grove Primary School are celebrating an impressive sporting year after five of their pupils represented York in various events, writes Jamie Crane.
Hamish McArthur was recently included in the York team to compete in the National Climbing Championships, in Edinburgh, while Pheobe and Esme Frere were in the York gymnastics squad.
The school also experienced success in football, with their team being crowned league champions.
Goalkeeper Finn Coughlan was picked to play for York at his age group, and Rachel Humble was selected for the girls’ side.
The Inter Schools athletics, orienteering and Year 6 rounders all saw Park Grove triumph in a year of superb sporting achievement.
