LAUREN Ellwood and Phoebe Hall were the goal-getters for City of York Hockey Club Under-10 girls in their latest Yorkshire Youth League fixtures.
Ellwood fired a hat-trick in a 3-1 opening victory over Ben Rhydding and then repeated the feat against York ‘B’ team.
Phoebe Hall also scored a hat-trick in that 7-0 triumph, with Alex Craig the other goal scorer.
The ‘A’ team also drew 0-0 with Wakefield and then beat Rotherham 1-0 to round off an unbeaten series.
The ‘B’ team did not fare so well, losing 1-0 to Driffield and 2-0 to Rotherham before earning a 0-0 draw with Ben Rhydding.
That was followed by the 7-0 drubbing against their ‘A’ team club-mates.
Their final fixture ended in a 3-0 defeat by Kirklees.
Goalkeeper Ella Deighton made some superb saves throughout the day.
