POCKLINGTON School’s hockey first team are heading for the national schools’ hockey competition finals after tying for first place in the northern heats.
The East Yorkshire girls tied with Cheadle Hulme in the northern finals in Manchester. They will now represent the north of England in the final round in Cannock on March 1 and 2.
Pocklington convincingly defeated Cheadle Hulme and Wakefield Girls’ High, before drawing with Arnold.
The Pock side included K Atkinson, J Blake, A Brant, G Byas, L Edwards, E Hessay, A Horne, S Megginson, K Pratt, M Rae, B Sedcole, C Stokes, R Tyrrell.
