YORK City Knights' first team have been out and about again in the community with another of those training sessions with a local junior team.
After sessions with New Earswick All Blacks and York Acorn junior teams, it was the turn of Heworth, whose under-12s outfit took part in drills alongside their professional peers followed by small-sided games, following on from a similar session with Heworth U13s last week.
Knights boss James Ford has long been an advocate of such get-togethers, and he said of this latest outing at Heworth's Elmpark Way home: "It was fantastic again.
"My boys love training with the kids. It's a welcome drop in intensity for us, and most importantly the young lads around York seem to really enjoy it.
"If it helps more people play amateur rugby or sport in general, it's something we're very to keep doing."
Elmpark Way has proven a happy place all round for Ford's team as they have won every game they have played there during their period of homelessness before getting in at York City's Bootham Crescent home as part of the community stadium project.
