TEAM Jorvik won 21 ‘A’ Grade medals and 18 ‘B’ Grade medals from 101 swims at Harrogate Swimming Club’s Annual Spa Town meet.

Maximus Mawle entered three events, winning medals in all three with personal best times, while Heidi Fothergill, in her first gala, clocked a huge 200 metre backstroke PB and gained a PB in the 50m freestyle, gaining a second place medal.

Brother Aidan competed in four events and left with four PBs and a medal, with big PBs in the 100m breaststroke, 100m freestyle, and 50m butterfly.

Newcomer Joe Callin competed in five events, gaining four PBs, with a top swim in the 100m backstroke.

Fay Clark competed in ten events and had seven PBs, while Imogen Wood bagged five PBs from six swims, including PBs in the 100m freestyle and 100m backstroke.

Amy Clark claimed ten PBs from 11 events, Georgia Kemp raced four events for three medals and two PBs, and Jess Buckton’s three PBs from four entries brought her medals in the 100 and 200m freestyle.

Joan Clayton left with two medals and a PB from a great 100m backstroke, while Sam Enticknap entered six events and gained five PBs and two medals, with a strong finish in the 200 individual medal and freestyle.

Rhiannon Wood set new club records in the 200m freestyle, 50m butterfly, 100m butterfly and the 100m backstroke. From her eight events, she had six PBs, four medals and three Yorkshire qualifying times.

Esme Littlewood raced in four events, gaining four PBs and two ‘A’ Grade medals and club records in the 50m and 200m backstroke.

Tom Watkins-Hargan entered four events and left with four ‘A’ Grade medals and a club record in the 50m freestyle and a big PB in the 100m backstroke. Joe Senior entered ten events and left with nine PBs and six medals, setting an eight-second 200 IM PB.

Zak Moorcroft’s nine races earned him eight PBs, seven ‘A’ Grade medals - four of them gold - and five club records, plus a speeding ticket in the 50m breaststroke.

Moorcroft and Watkins-Hargan also competed at the ASA Regional Youth/Senior Championships in Sunderland.

Moorcroft qualified for five events (50m, 100m, 200m backstroke, 50m and 100m breaststroke), Watkins-Hargan qualified for 50m backstroke.

Team Jorvik coach Jon Beardsley also returned to competition in the 50m freestyle and butterfly.
