YORK College students celebrated two years of hard work at the fourth annual Sport and Public Services awards at York Racecourse.
The event rewards academic and sporting excellence across the sports and public services courses at the Sim Balk Lane college.
In 2013, the department had 22 triple distinctions in level three sports courses, including 11 triple D*s and 26 triple distinctions in uniformed public services, including 11 triple D*s.
Lee Armstrong, head of sport and public services, said: “It was a great day for the students to be recognised for their hard work throughout the year.
“Every year we have held this event, we have been very proud, not only of their achievements, but also their mature attitudes and behaviour.”
