A SPORTS festival for young people with additional needs is being held in East Yorkshire to celebrate the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
The event is being held at Longcroft Upper School, Beverley, on Friday, July 25, from 1pm to 4pm, and is open to people aged between seven and 18.
There will be an opportunity to take part in a number of sports and taster activities, including athletics, football, archery and golf.
Adam Swann, community sports coach at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: “The festival will showcase some of the activities that are available to people with disabilities and bring a number of projects together as one to celebrate.”
The festival is free but booking is essential as places are limited.
To reserve a place, visit the website www.eastriding.gov.uk/events and click on the brochure tab Schools Out 2014, or phone the Sport, Play & Arts Service on 01482 395320.
