MEDAL-WINNING pupils from Tadcaster Grammar School helped the North Yorkshire team take second place at the Regional Sportshall Athletic Championships in Halifax.
Katie Bohl, 12, of Copmanthorpe, competed in the speed bounce, six-lap sprint and relay, scoring a hat-trick of medals with a gold in the relay and silvers in her other two events.
Molly Mackenzie-Ward, 13, of Church Fenton, narrowly missed out by only two centimetres on winning gold in the triple jump.
The duo, who were selected following a series of trials throughout North Yorkshire, competed against teams from Humberside, South and East Yorkshire.
