YORK GAA'S men are into the final of the Yorkshire Junior Championship courtesy of a dramatic late score in the semi-finals against Hugh O'Neill's.
Vinny Hanley made amends for two early penalty misses by getting the winning point with two minutes remaining in a 1-11 (14) to 2-7 (13) win over the Leeds-based outfit.
York will face Newcastle Cu Chullains, who beat St Benedict's Harps 3-12 (21) to 0-1 (1).
An incredibly tight first half ended 0-4 to 0-3 in Hugh O'Neill's favour before York looked to have pulled away at the start of the second period with four consecutive points.
But the visitors levelled with a three-point goal to bring them back level before near shoot-out levels back-and-forth scoring at the end culminated in Hanley's key strike.
The quarter final was a more straightforward affair, with York looking comfortable in their 2-12 (18) to 1-9 (12) win over Sheffield St Vincent's.
Though not at their best, York did enough to hold an advantage throughout and were able to pull away with a quarter of an hour remaining after Sheffield had a man sent off.
