ACOMB Conservative Club have been crowned York John Smith’s Ladies' League division one champions after beating Slipper 6-3.

Bev Harton, Tracey and Lauren Farmeary, Tina Platt and Jayne Janes secured match points for Acomb.

Second-placed Burnholme were outplayed in an 8-1 loss at Marcia, whose home advantage saw them only stopped from a full house by Sarah Jackson.

Michelle Britton hit four triple-figure scores and Alex Exton closed a 24-dart leg as Fulfordgate overwhelmed Beagle 7-2.

Acorn were taken to the wire by visitors Severus ‘B’, who raced into a 3-0 lead before the hosts rallied. Mother and daughter Sarah and Ellie Rankeillor combined to snatch a 5-4 victory.

Edinburgh are division two champions after beating close rivals Priory 5-4. Burgh got a great start and Julie Stables and Amanda Bevan combined to seal victory.

Holgate ‘B’ claimed second place after Christine Turgoose, Linda and mother Alice won to send them to a 7-2 win over their ‘A’ team.

Leeman ‘A’ showed what they can do with a full team, with Margaret Yeomans closing 79 as they overcame Saddle 7-2, while Laura Heward and Maggie Bedingham joined to secure a 6-3 win for Leeman 'B' at Severus ‘A’.

Burton Lane finished top of the White Rose Ladies' League despite losing 4-3 against third-placed White Horse, despite Burton Lane's Toni Smallwood delivering a 125 score.

Second-placed Holgate had a 5-2 home victory against Acomb Sports. Ceejay Fairclough played great darts, bagging two tons.

New Earswick lost 6-1 to Bootham Conservative Club and Ebor lost 4-3 to King William.

The league, sponsored by Acomb Sports, will hold its finals and presentation night tonight at Acomb Sports Club.
