CITY of York Hockey Club Men I secured at least a sixth-placed finish in the North League premier division with a 4-2 win over Oxton.
With this win - City's seventh at home in their last eight fixtures - York are guaranteed a tally of 31 points, their highest in the premier division this century.
And they will be hoping they can maintain this home form this Saturday when they host Wakefield, when a win - with other results going their way - could see them rise to fifth.
Mike Carter scored a hat-trick and Alex Cockram added.
City II finished their Yorkshire League premier division season on a high with a 7-1 thumping of Sheffield University Bankers III.
City III finished second bottom in division one. They had no fixture, nor did third-placed City IV in division two.
Acomb I missed the chance to leapfrog opponents Sheffield University Bankers IV into fourth in division two as they were held to a 2-2 home draw.
The Tangerines enjoyed the bulk of possession and took the lead through Jamie Robinson's deflected effort but the visitors drew level shortly after from a penalty corner.
Tom Brown struck with 10 minutes of the first half remaining before Bankers again responded quickly.
City V drew 2-2 against visitors Doncaster V in division three. George Trowsdale and James Hoile netted for York.
In division four north, City VI lost 5-0 at Ben Rhydding III on Saturday before going down 5-2 at Boston Spa II on Sunday. Basement side City VII lost 3-1 to Ben Rhydding IV with Rob Prentice scoring.
Third-placed in division five north, City VIII thumped second-bottom City IX 12-1. Emil Waites (2), Finn Baqai (2), Luke Harbord (2), Tom Feetenby (2), Jacob Birch, Jasper Richardson, Bailey Kaye and Scott Cooper scored for the victors, with Andrew Barraclough replying.
Fourth-placed Acomb II took six points from yet another weekend double-header.
A double from Jonny Brown and a Harry Ellis strike secured a 3-0 win over Scarborough II on Saturday before thumping Boston Spa IV 6-1 on Sunday.
Tom Brown netted before stand-in skipper Jonny Brown scored the first of five goals in 15 minutes, with John Forecast pitching in with one of them.
City X beat Halifax 5-0 in Men's Development north division. Josh Prins (2), Charlie Wiggins, Tom Gilbert and Fraser Guest were the scorers.
City Ladies I have finished this North Women's League division one season in eighth thanks to a 2-1 win over Harrogate.
Yorkshire Women's League division one champions City Ladies II lost 4-2 at home to Bridlington I in their last game of term. Corinne Wray and Ruth Laybourne netted for a York side long since assured of the title.
Also in division one, City Ladies III drew 1-1 at Hull II thanks to Abi Robinson's strike.
Acomb Ladies ended their season in 11th following an 8-1 home defeat to Northallerton. Hannah Yoward was the sole scorer for the Tangerines, who will remain in a reorganised division one for next season.
In division three, City Ladies IV lost 2-0 at home to Halifax III.
City Ladies V finished the division four north season in 12th after a 6-1 loss at Harrogate V and City Ladies VI finished bottom of the pile in division five north. Lydia Waters was their only scorer in the final game of the season, a 2-1 home defeat to Thirsk.
