CITY of York Hockey Club Ladies I were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Kendal.

The hosts - now unbeaten in three outings - dominated the second half but could not find a way through and remain ninth in North Women's League division one.

They went ahead through a superb Ali Couttie effort from a tight angle, but Kendal drew level before the break, punishing a lapse in concentration.

Yorkshire Women's League division two leaders City Ladies II earned a 2-2 draw at third-placed Driffield II.

City went a goal up through Sarah Rogers from a short corner after good work going forward but they were pegged back before the break by a Driffield short corner.

Acomb Ladies remain 11th in division one following a 2-0 defeat at Hull.

Hull went ahead three minutes after half-time with a neat deflection before doubling their advantage 10 minutes later with keeper Stephanie Barker out of position.

Amber Moore missed a good chance to bag Acomb a consolation at the near post late on.
