ACOMB enjoyed a 7-2 win at Severus 'B' to go top of the York John Smith's Ladies' Darts League.

Gina Whittaker and Tracey Farmeary gave division one table-toppers Acomb a great start before Wendy Storr and Michelle Kelly replied. Those two, however, were to be Sev's only points as Acomb cleaned up the rest.

Burnholme dropped to second despite a 5-4 win over visitors Fulfordgate.

Marj Pearson, Lynne Willstrop and Sarah Jackson gave them a lead before Gate's Britton clan got to work with Cara, Michelle and Muriel levelling. Pearson and Willstrop snatched victory.

Marcia won 5-4 at Acorn, whose Rose Gray, Zoey Chadwick and Lauren Tattersfield fought back after Faye Hawksby and Linda Penrose had given the visitors a start. Ellen Platt levelled then Hawksby and Barbara Russell, followed by Platt and Sharon Rishworth sealed match points.

Alison Walsh and Jody Hancock secured victory for Slipper against Beagle.

Priory went top of division two after a resounding 7-2 win at Leeman ‘A’.

Mandy Young, Sandra Pallister, Linda Embleton, Georgia Dawson and Sheila Harrison sealed match points. Debbie Witts and a lone-hand pairs win by Margaret Yeomans got the hosts their points.

Edinburgh Arms are just a point behind after seeing off visitors Leeman ‘B’ 6-3. Chris Lamb, Emma Frankland, Donna Lynes, Amanda Bevan then Anthea Jamieson and Julie Stables sealed victory.

Holgate ‘A’ were taken to the wire at Saddle. Linda Turgoose starred in the singles while sister Christine had success paired with Sarah Evans.

In the White Rose Ladies' League, Bootham Conservative Club secured a 5-2 home victory against Acomb Sports with high scores coming from Dot Haines (125) and Den Fahey (125).

Holgate also won 5-2 against White Horse. Holgate's Liza Moore scored 168.

New Earswick Bowls beat King William 5-2 while Ebor lost 4-3 to Indoor Bowls.
