York RI ‘D’ pulled off a surprise 7-3 victory over second division pacesetters York RI 'C'. Mark Blackburn did the damage with an assured treble and he was ably supported by the energetic Alberto Nidasio, who picked up two wins on his first appearance at this level.

University ‘B’ whitewashed bottom team Clarence ‘E’ while a maximum from Gary Bunce could not prevent Clarence ‘D’ going down 7-3 to Bootham 'B'.

Three wins from Gareth Bryning made the difference as Bootham ‘A’ prevailed 6-4 against Wigginton & Haxby ‘A’ and a treble from Michael Connolly allowed University ‘B’ to clinch a 5-5 draw versus University 'B'. Marcin Kotlinski starred as Poppleton picked up a much-needed 7-3 victory over Clarence 'E'.

Sam Crutchley and Christophe Bauer were too good as division three leaders Wigginton & Haxby ‘B’ beat Clarence ‘F’ 6-4 and Strensall ‘B’ showed no mercy as they whitewashed Shiyi Ling ‘C’ 10-0.

York RI ‘F’ stunned their higher-ranked ‘E’ team as Alberto Nidasio starred in an excellent 6-4 victory while Dave Burnham and Ed Wardman were untroubled as Ryedale ‘A’ beat Clarence ‘G’ 7-3.

Despite a valiant unbeaten effort from Chris McLuskie, South Bank were defeated 7-3 by BT ‘A’ while Terry Nicholson starred as Clarence ‘F’ beat BT ‘B’ by the same score.

Braces for Thomas Cuthbert and Daria Golubova were matched by Mike Surtees and Paul Kozyra as University ‘C’ and Shepherds ‘B’ ended honours even in a 5-5 draw.

Runaway division four leaders Wigginton & Haxby ‘C’ whitewashed Clarence ‘H’ 10-0 while their ‘D’ team look certain of second place as Andrew Male led the way in a 7-3 victory over Shepherds 'C'.

Wigginton & Haxby ‘E’ completed a fine week for the club as they secured a 6-4 victory over University ‘D’ despite a maximum from student Kieran Podbury.
