YORK John Smith's Ladies' Darts League division one leaders Burnholme suffered a 6-3 home defeat to Marcia.

Linda Penrose, Lynn Noble, Barbara Russell and Ellen Platt sent the visitors into the pairs 4-2 up after Lynne Wilstrop and Jane Dobson had hit back for Holme. Penrose was joined by Faye Hawksby to seal victory.

Second-placed Acomb cleaned up in the pairs for a 7-2 win at Slipper after Jayne Janes, Tracey Farmeary, Bev Harton and Carole Layne all won singles for the visitors. Anita Adams and Vicky Clint replied for the hosts.

Michelle Britton was again to the fore as she gamed in 23 darts for Fulfordgate in their 6-3 win over visitors Beagle. Mother Muriel, niece Cara and Alex Exton also chipped in. Nella Majsterek and Karen Alton replied for Beagle.

Dot Sellars and daughter Wendy Storr were the match-winners in the pairs for Severus ‘B’ in their 5-4 victory over Acorn, whose Lisa Benton top scored.

Priory beat division two leaders Edinburgh Arms 5-4 to go level on points with them at the summit. Sandra Pallister joined Sheila Harrison and Linda Embleton accompanied Mandy Young to snatch the points in the pairs.

Holgate ‘B’ sit only a point behind in third following a 6-3 win against their ‘A’ team. Alice and Christine Turgoose sealed victory.

Saddle and Leeman ‘A’ were tied at 3-3 entering the pairs before Liz Jackson and Sharon Nelson, then Vicky McClaren and Chris Patterson secured a 5-4 win for Saddle.

Leeman ‘B’ saw off visitors Severus 'A'. Heather Bulmer, Maggie Bedingham, Julie Oliver and Lorraine Blows did the damage. Sheila Elliott and Carol Robson responded before Blows was joined by Karen Simmons to seal victory.
