BURNHOLME returned to the top of the York John Smith's Ladies' Darts League with a spectacular 7-2 win over rivals Acomb Conservative Club.

Jane Dobson, Jo West, Marj Pearson and Sharon Matthews led the way for the restored division one leaders before a clean sweep in the pairs secured the win. Tina Platt and Tracey Farmeary replied for Acomb.

Fulfordgate moved within a point of Acomb with a 6-3 home win over Acorn. Ellie Rankeillor gamed in 25 for the visitors before Di Moreland levelled then Muriel Britton, Michelle Britton, Dawn Exton and the pair of Alex Exton and Cara Britton sealed victory.

Mother and daughter Karen Alton and Becky Thompson were Beagle's only points-scorers as visitors Marcia left with a 7-2 victory, Joan Hunter combining with Jill Clapham to seal victory.

Division two leaders Edinburgh had victory against close rivals Holgate ‘B’ sewn up early with Anthea Jamieson, Julie Stables, Donna Lynes, Emma Frankland and Amanda Bevan all winning.

Second-placed Priory were beaten 5-4 as Sue Richardson and Jackie Simpson combined to snatch victory for Severus ‘A’, while Alex Nelson and Kath Powell were Saddle's match-winners in a 5-4 victory at Holgate ‘A’.

Leeman ‘B’ raced 4-0 up against their ‘A’ team en route to a 5-4 victory, sealed by the pairing of Karen Simmons and captain Heather Bulmer.

White Rose Ladies' League leaders Burton Stone beat King William 5-2, with high scores coming from Toni Smallwood (140, 125) who also gamed in 23 darts.

Vicky Finney scored 100 as second-placed White Horse beat Indoor Bowls 6-1.

Fourth-placed Holgate also enjoyed a 6-1 home win, coming from a game down to beat Bootham Conservative Club. The hosts' Liza Moore scored 123 while the visitors had high tons from Dot Haines (108) and Den Fahey (100).

Ebor lost 4-3 to Acomb Sports, for whom Jess Varley threw a 113. Ebor's high scores came from Christina Davison (121) and June Mallory (127).
