YORK Artistic Sports Club have enjoyed successes at British level in the sport of trampolining.

A dozen competitors from the club, aged from 12 to 18, have been competing at national level all year, while their junior high performance and invitation squads have contested regional league events.

York's Mia-Mae Deighton has had a particularly outstanding year, taking second place in the British Gymnastics National Development Plan final for girls aged 15 to 16.

She also placed seventh in the 15-16 girls' English Championships Gold level final and became an English champion along with team-mate Olivia Clark-Neufville in the synchronised trampoline event.

She finished off her year with a first place in her age level at the National Trampoline League finals and was runner-up in the Ladies' Open event.

Clark-Neufville has also had an amazing year, taking her first national title with Deighton and finishing third in the individual event at Silver level.

The York club's second synchro pair of Elysia Goodman and Hollie Willoughby also took silver in the 15-16 girls' Silver level event at the English Championships and finished first and third respectively in the individual 15-16 event at the National League finals.

The quartet, in addition to other club-mates, also enjoyed wins and medal places throughout the year’s qualifying events, thanks in part to their coaching in YASCs' high performance squad from Sam Harrison, Mark Wild and Richard Edwards.
