KNARESBOROUGH driver Les Andrew and co-driver Nick Middleton recently teamed up again after a break from competition for almost 20 years - and duly won the UK-wide 2017 HRCR Historic Rally Championship.
The pair took three overall championship awards - returning first in class, first in category, and lifting the prestigious Amazon Challenge Cup for Standard Cars - after nine gruelling rounds of competition.
The duo had previously competed in the 1990s in a variety of cars, including having a works drive for Skoda on the 1992 Lombard RAC Rally of Great Britain.
