CITY of York Athletic Club's Emma Ballantyne secured a top-20 finish in the Great North Run.
Having earned entry to the elite women's race alongside clubmate Charlotte Mason, Ballantyne clocked a creditable one hour 23 minutes 30 seconds for 19th place over the half-marathon course.
Mason was not far behind, finishing 23rd in 1-24-38.
Stephen Kirk was City of York's fastest runner over the famous 13.1-mile route from Newcastle to South Shields, coming 174th overall in 1-20-11.
Also running for the club were Lauren Eadon (1-43-45), Chris Brennan (1-59-45), Dave Paver (2-03-04) and Jack Spence (2-38-25).
