YORK Indoor Bowls Club hosted the Hebden Challenge Cup - and it provided an upset as North Cave took the trophy.
Yorkshire League winners and cup favourites Featherstone beat Scarborough 74-39 in the opening encounter, picking up the maximum 10 points.
But they lost 73-35 to North Cave next time out, Cave winning each rink to take all 10 points, and then 49-48 to Hornsea in their last match.
North Cave had picked up six points from their opening 50-35 win over Hornsea, and in their last match they beat Scarborough 58-46, taking eight points to seal the silverware.
In the other match, Hornsea pipped Scarborough 54-52, picking up six points.
