FULFORD 3rds' fine start to the season continued in the Fulford Ladies Invitation League when they beat Dunnington’s fourth team 81-27 to remain top of division six.

Elsewhere, Sarah Frank and Christine Thomas bagged 29 games for Sheriff as they beat Stamford Bridge by the same score.

David Lloyd 3rds overcame Popp’s thirds 63-45 to remain unbeaten.

Wigginton 2nds top division five after a 77-31 win over Wilberfoss, Helen Brown and Catherine Field claiming 30 of Wig’s games.

Cop 2nds and Heworth fought out the first draw of the campaign, while Bish seconds recorded their first win with a comprehensive 82-26 defeat of Cawood.

A 25-game haul from Lisa Garland and Liz Taylor helped David Lloyd 2nds edge past Riccall 55-53 in division four.

Bubwith remain at the top however, after beating Sutton 62-46. Popp 2nds climbed off the bottom of the table after victory over Dunnington, while New Earswick overcame Boston Spa.

Wistow maintained their 100 per cent record in division three, sisters Rachel and Sarah Huggins leading the way in their team’s 62-46 defeat of Tollerton. Fulford seconds produced a strong last round to overcome Copmanthorpe 56-52, while Rowntree Park’s 59-49 win over Appleton leaves Roebuck struggling at the foot of the table. Meanwhile Castlegarth 2nds beat Knaresborough.

The top three teams in division two all logged comfortable wins. Castlegarth top the pile after beating Rufforth, and Fulford 1sts stay hot on their heels after victory at Boston Spa, which included a 30 game haul from Anna Baker and Jo Middleton.

Wig 1 remain third after inflicting a heavy defeat on Cliffe, whilst Pock 2 scraped a 55-53 triumph over Dunnington seconds.

Bishopthorpe 1sts and York 1sts remain the only unbeaten teams in division one – both recorded victories over Starbeck and Poppleton 1sts respectively.

Karen Retief and Sarah Dwyer teamed up to take 25 games in York 2nds’ narrow win at David Lloyd, while Dunnington took the points in their 67-41 win over Pocklington.

Bubwith seconds top division seven after defeating Cop 3 60-48, and David Lloyd 4ths trounced Rufforth seconds 95-13, although Rufforth could only field two couples.
