KEITH OVERTON performed the traditional new captain's drive-in duties for the start of celebrations for Forest Park Golf Club's 25th anniversary.
A programme of events is planned to mark a quarter of a century since the Stockton-on-the-Forest club opened its doors. One of the events on July 16 is a new club competition where all members, including five-day and nine-hole members, have been invited to take part. In the evening the members are invited to a social event and a display by world renowned trick show specialist David Edwards.
Meanwhile, the new Heworth GC captain, Chris Tindall, playing in his first mixed competition together with lady captain Pat Hilton, lifted the Sue Fairley Memorial Trophy with a fine score of 71.5.
This trophy, given by the Fairley family, is a mixed competition played each spring.
