NEW Earswick Falcons stormed to the Yorkshire League Over-55s division two title by seeing off North Cave Yellow.
Earswick needed five points seal the crown - and picked up all 14.
Away, Dave Imeson, Dave Sykes, Colin Ellis and Bill Waldie led 13-4 at the half but had to hold on for a 19-16 victory.
Graham Lockwood, Mick Stannard, Bob Edwards and Barry Johnson trailed 12-10 after 11 ends but won the next eight to lead 20-12 with three to play.
They lost all three but won 20-16, seeing Earswick go into the home games with four of the five required points.
Gordon Fratson, Eric Cookson, Dave Elcock and Tony Abbot then led 10-5 after eight ends and won ten of the next 11, picking up three fours to boot, to win 31-9.
Paul Murray, Barry Harrison, Ralph Tiplady and Dick Osguthorpe led 14-2 and, although they dropped twos at the next two ends, they collected 22 shots in winning the next eight ends en route to a 36-8 success.
New Earswick Ospreys ended a disappointing season on a high note with victory over York Knights, picking up all 14 points.
Ray Mawson, Vic Reed, Terry Bellwood and Bruce Dobson led R Clark's rink from the start to go 19-4 up. York hit back at the next three ends but Earswick won 27-13.
Earswick's Martin Stubbs, Jim Robinson, Kevin Potter and Bob Barrett dropped a four at the fifth end against Ken Robinson to go 6-3 down but only conceded three more singles in a 21-9 victory.
At York, Howard Darrell, Dave Thompson, Dave Hutchinson and Brian Birch only dropped three singles in the first 12 ends to lead R Munro 13-3. It was even thereafter with the Ospreys winning 21-10.
Barry Shipley, Alwyn Anderson, Doug Carr and Vic Thompson, with two fives, led M Snowden 16-7 after nine ends and, although York fought back to within five points with three ends left, Ospreys won them all for a 28-16 victory.
New Earswick Ladies fell to new champions Harrogate Ladies in their final Yorkshire League match.
At home, Linda Tordoff, Gemma Broadhead, Margaret Pearson and Margaret Morgan led 5-2 after five ends but fell away to lose 27-11.
Denise Elliott, Moyra Ellis, Irene Warrington and Majorie Watson dropped a five and a six to trail 14-3 after five ends. They fought back to 16-13 and had the better of the second half but dropping a four at the 17th cost them as they lost 26-22.
Doramy Bellwood, Kath Hardcastle, Norma Davies and Kath Sykes went from 5-5 after eight ends to 17-5 down after 14. Seven shots at the last three brought them closer at 20-14.
Margaret Moss, Jean Cann, Carol Williams and Pat Walker were only 7-6 down after seven ends but tailed away to a 31-14 defeat.
