MARCIA ‘A’ star Babs Harrison got the resumption of the York John Smith’s Ladies League division one season off to a flier.

She closed on 129 with treble 20, bull finish for a 21-dart leg which enabled them to enter the pairs on level terms with visitors Severus ‘B’, whose Wendy Storr included scores of 130, 100 in a 25-dart game.

Sharon Mountain and Dot Sellars edged the club side in front. Pat Cairns and Carol Perrett set up a deciding leg where Harrison and Stacy Morris snatched victory.

Leaders Fulfordgate had captain Michelle Britton gaming 22 as they were prevented from a full house in the singles by Ox ‘A’s Alison Walker.

Walker then partnered Caz Johnson to gain the visitors only other point with Walker checking 91.

Burnholme, now settled into their new club, were prevented from a full house by visitors Marcia ‘B’s Sue Smith (114, 100). Carol Whittaker was the home team’s top scorer.

The two Sues, Clark and Richardson (25), gave Severus ‘A’ a good start, however Anthea and Claire Jamieson hit back for visitors Edinburgh. Sheila Elliott restored the club sides advantage before Donna Lynes levelled despite her opponent Steph Barker hitting three tons.

In division two, front runners Shoulder were nudged aside by visitors Burton WMC.

The home team raced into a 3-0 advantage through Hannah Smith, Sue Tate and Doreen Johnstone.

However, Sandra Pallister started a five-game winning run culminating with Pallister being joined by Dawn Barker to seal the win.

Saddle were all square at 3-3 with visitors Green Tree. Chris Patterson and Sharon Nelson edged the home team in front, but Janine Cartwright and Sonya Love and then Jackie Young and Sandra Flintoft secured victory for the visitors.

Meanwhile, White Rose Ladies League division one joint leaders Crescent ‘B’ won the first three games against King William.

Lisa Moore hit a 125, and Sarah Crake 110 for William, while, in the second pair, Angie Hurst scored a 129.

Teresa Walker took the next for William while Val Mackenzie included a 121 to make it four for Crescent. Carol Atkinson took the next for William, but Moore made sure of the five points.
