The Phoenix Suns will get the first pick in the 2018 NBA draft – their first number one pick in franchise history.

The Suns, who had the worst NBA regular season record at 21-61, were drawn last out at the NBA draft lottery in Chicago.

The second pick will to the Sacramento Kings, while the Atlanta Hawks will go third in the draft, which takes place on June 21.

Following the selection of the top three draft picks, the remaining teams who did not make the NBA playoffs were put into inverse order of their win-loss record to determine the order of picks.

This means the Memphis Grizzlies will pick fourth, the Dallas Mavericks fifth, the Orlando Magic sixth and the Chicago Bulls seventh.

Cleveland Cavaliers will get the eighth pick after trading with the Brooklyn Nets, the New York Knicks will get ninth and the Philadelphia 76ers 10th after trading with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Charlotte Hornets will go 11th, the Los Angeles Clippers will get 12th and 13th – the former coming from the Detroit Pistons – while the Denver Nuggets get 14th pick.
