IT is in Leeds’ own hands – and boss Simon Grayson wants to make sure the Whites’ Championship play-off hopes remain that way following the Easter weekend.
Leeds host Reading on Good Friday (kick off 7.45pm) before travelling to Crystal Palace on Easter Monday (3pm) and Grayson is seeking a six-point haul.
Despite a 2-2 draw with Watford, Leeds are still in sixth place and hold a two-point cushion over Nottingham Forest and Hull City – their closest pursuers.
“For all we’ve had a frustrating week, we’re still in a good position and if we win our remaining games we’ll secure that position,” Grayson said. “Results haven’t gone too badly for us. But we have to concentrate solely on what we do to reach our target of the play-offs now.
“We did it last year. We’re not chasing anyone. If we win our games we can in the play-offs. Let’s achieve that target. We’ve got a big game on Friday against Reading now and a big weekend with Palace a couple of days later.”
