DAVID LIVERMORE has finally swapped Millwall for Leeds United after a year's delay.
And the tough tackling midfielder, who failed a medical at Southampton, admits he will have to work on his fitness.
Leeds first asked about Livermore last year but they couldn't agree a fee. Now the 26-year-old former Lions skipper has completed a £400,000 move and agreed a two-year deal after a two-day medical.
He said: "I went to Southampton and the medical there didn't go too well. The medical at Leeds was very thorough and I learned one or two things about myself and my fitness.
"I'll be working hard with the physio to make sure there's an improvement."
Although Livermore and Shaun Derry are defensive midfield players, Livermore believes there is room for both of them in the Leeds team.
He said: "We are both defensive midfelders but if we are going to play with wingers you need people in the middle of the field to do the donkeywork as well as the passing."
