Leeds United will be looking to extend their unbeaten run in the league to three games when they play host to Carlisle United tomorrow (3pm).

The Elland Road side secured a draw against Coca-Cola League One leaders Leicester City and victory over Stockport County two weeks ago before last weekend’s match away to Hereford United was postponed.

United captain Frazer Richardson is hoping the side can maintain their good form.

“It’s important we look to get on another run now,” said the skipper.

“The results against Leicester and Stockport over Christmas were a massive lift for everyone and we have to take that confidence forward.

“There are 23 games to go and everyone is looking forward not back.”

Meanwhile, defender Alan Sheehan has said the players have enjoyed their extended stay on the training ground with new manager Simon Grayson.

“The new gaffer’s been good,” he said.

“We’re adapting to the style of play he wants and I’ll keep working hard and hopefully improving.”

And the 22-year-old hopes the extra training can help them climb back up the league.

“We need to win every game we play,” he said. “I think we’ve always tried to do that, but we have to press teams and get as many points on the board as possible.

“We need to get promotion this season and if that means going to Wembley again so be it but, at the moment, our aim is to get automatic promotion.”

Midfielder Bradley Johnson will provide Grayson with further midfield options after returning from his loan spell at Brighton for the reserves on Tuesday night.

The 21-year-old helped the side to a 1-0 win over Bradford and said he was now hopeful of first team involvement.

“I’ve been told the manager will have a look at me and a decision will be made. I’ve just got to work hard and prove myself,” he said.

“Hopefully, things will work out here. I’m going to work hard and see what happens.”
