IT looks like being a hectic week at Elland Road with a possible writ from former boss Kevin Blackwell and a rotating door for players as the loan deadline on Thursday nears.

Leeds are refusing to comment on news that Blackwell is threatening to take them to court for wrongful dismissal apart from saying the matter is in the hands of their lawyers.

It would seem that chairman Ken Bates is refusing to pay Blackwell any compensation due to comments the then manager made after the match against Sunderland on September 13.

At his press conference, Blackwell said: "I think the fans are fed-up with what has happened at Leeds. They can see a situation at Sunderland, where someone comes along and pumps millions into the club - and they think why can't it be us?' "They've had four or five years of being kicked where it hurts and they've seen their best players being sold.

"I think the fans need to know the real truth about this football club - but I don't think it will ever come out in the short term."

Meanwhile Dennis Wise is trying to change his squad round before the deadline, which is his last chance to shake things up before the transfer window opens at the start of January.

Paul Butler is expected to leave this week, possibly to link up with his old friend Paul Ince at Macclesfield.

Winger Seb Carole and Angolan international defender Rui Marques are negotiating their release and goalkeeper Neil Sullivan could also be on his way, as he appears to have no chance of playing first team football at Leeds.

Middlesbrough winger Adam Johnson has returned to the Riverside although his loan spell may be renewed.

Wise is expected to sign Coventry City pair, midfielder Stephen Hughes and striker Dele Adebola, and to continue to pursue Sheffield United's Paul Ifill.
