BEVERLEY Racecourse will be awash with pink at an award- winning race night in May.

Lucky In Love is now an established date in the region’s social calendar and tickets are expected to be snapped up after recently going on sale.

The event will take place on Wednesday, May 30, and the popular venue is working closely with charity Breast Cancer Care to incorporate a new Hint Of Pink theme.

As with previous years, guests will be issued with a padlock or key upon their arrival at the racecourse.

In between races, they can mingle with other guests to find their matching lock or key and unlock the opportunity to win a range of prizes.

However, this year racegoers are being tasked with the challenge of incorporating the Hint Of Pink theme into their outfits for a chance of winning a top prize, and the coveted title of Best Dressed.

In addition to this, the new theme brings another opportunity for guests to win big this year. Charity wristbands will be on sale at the event, giving racegoers the opportunity to win the Lucky In Love mystery star prize.

The event was named Best Event in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire in the 2010 Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Pride Awards.

Sally Iggulden, chief executive of Beverley Racecourse, said: “Lucky In Love has been a fantastic event over the last two years and I am excited to be able to combine a mixture of horseracing, networking and prizes with the opportunity to raise money for such a worthy cause.”
