Quito makes the long journey from North Yorkshire to Susssex tomorrow with every chance of notching his first Group-race success.

Trained at Stillington near Easingwold by David Chapman, the evergreen nine-year-old is a multiple winner of Listed races, and has also chalked up several Group-race places, not least when finishing second to Reverence in the Group 1 Haydock Park Sprint Cup two outings ago.

Tomorrow, Quito tackles the Group 3 Merbury Catering Consultants Supreme Stakes over seven furlongs at Goodwood. With the ground likely to ride on the soft side, conditions he loves, the popular local gelding promises to make a bold bid.

Punters can get off to a good start at Goodwood with Zoom One in the Electrolux Professional Nursery Stakes over a mile.

The Marcus Tregoning-trained juvenile got off the mark in gutsy style at Redcar earlier this month, taking time to warm up before staying on strongly to win by three-parts of a length from Hair Of The Dog.

There was no great merit in that performance, but Zoom One gives the impression that he is improving all the time and there could be more to come from him.

The Premier Foods Handicap looks a good opportunity for Ginger Spice to resume winning ways.

The William Haggas-trained filly may not have acted on the course when finishing out of the money at Epsom last time, but she was far from disgraced in finishing a close-up sixth to Rain Stops Play.

Previously successful at Newmarket, she should not be overlooked in this one-mile event and is awarded the nap vote.

Also worthy of attention at Goodwood are the promising Madrigale (2.30) and the progressive Primondo (3.05).

At Nottingham, where quantity far outweighs the quality, Millachy will not be short of supporters in the EBF Trent Bridge Maiden Fillies' Stakes.

Barry Hills' two-year-old finished a neck second to Foxy Games on her debut at Bath, doing all her best work late on after taking time to realise what was required. She will be wiser here and promises to be hard to beat.

Rainbow's Edge deserves attention in the Halifax Estate Agents Handicap.

Roger Charlton's three-year-old got off the mark in facile style at Haydock in May, and although not seen out since, she looks a filly with a future. Stepping up to two miles here, she makes plenty of appeal.

Rosein, who has been in good form on the all-weather tracks, reverts to turf in the United Pallet Network Handicap over six furlongs and the Geraldine Rees-trained sprinter is taken to continue his good run.
