A North Yorkshire horse with an outstanding record at Wolverhampton returns to his favourite course tomorrow for a spot of night duty and is napped to deliver a popular win.

Just Bond, trained at Brawby, near Malton, by Geoff Oldroyd, faces the starter at 8.50pm in the totesport.com Handicap with PJ McDonald in the saddle.

The seven-year-old, owned by Pocklington enthusiast Reg Bond, is a real favourite at Wolverhampton, having notched no fewer than eight of his 11 career wins on the Polytrack circuit.

The latest of those wins came last week when Just Bond prevailed by half a length from Brouhaha.

He has a 6lb penalty for that victory, which obviously makes life more difficult for him, but Just Bond has such an affinity with this track that he is fancied to find the winners’ enclosure yet again.

Norton trainer John Quinn has a horse at the top of his form in Fantasy Fighter, who bids to complete a hat-trick of wins in the totesport Handicap over five furlongs.

The four-year-old has scored here and at Lingfield on his last two starts.

He has been raised a further 5lb since his latest success and also reverts to the minimum trip tomorrow, having been campaigned over six furlongs on his last two outings. That said, he is expected to make a bold show for his hat-trick bid, despite being drawn widest of all in stall 13.

Brian Ellison, another Norton trainer with his horses in good heart, can also figure on the Wolverhampton scoreboard.

Ellison saddles My Mate Mal in the Bet totepool Claiming Stakes.

Although unplaced over hurdles on his latest appearance in public, My Mate Mal had previously gone down fighting by a neck in an apprentices’ handicap on this course. He should go well.

At Lingfield’s afternoon meeting, Kieren Fallon, who is fancied to take the opening honours on Anaya (12.10), is the jockey to follow throughout the card.

The former champion jockey teams up with Norton trainer Ollie Pears in the Toteplacepot Claiming Stakes and the pair can take the honours with the in-form Traphalgar, who looks to have strong claims.

Pears was on the mark earlier this week with Grudge at Wolverhampton and also sent out a jumps winner at Musselburgh last week so his horses are plainly in good heart.

Other winners for Fallon are likely to include Mick Channon’s Silver Guest in the Toteexacta Handicap and Gunslinger, trained by Michael Scudamore, in the Totetrifecta Handicap.
