North Yorkshire jockey Paul Mulrennan, looking forward to teaming up once more with Turn On The Style in Dubai next month, has an all-important date with his desert partner at Lingfield tomorrow.

Mulrennan, who is attached to Mick Easterby’s Sheriff Hutton yard, partners the John Balding-trained sprinter in the William Hill Conditions Stakes and is napped to complete a hat-trick of wins on this back-in-form performer.

Mulrennan steered him to victory on this course a fortnight ago, a success which came hot on the heels of a Southwell win.

Last February, Turn On The Style provided Mulrennan and small-time Bawtry trainer Balding with an extra special victory when scoring at Nad Al Sheba during the prestigious Dubai Carnival, and a follow-up trip is now planned.

First things first, however, and Turn On The Style is fancied to do just that in this six furlongs dash.

The £18,000 William Hill January Sale – Bonuses Galore! Handicap is the feature race on the card, and Art Man should make a bold bid on behalf of trainer Gary Moore, father of champion Flat jockey Ryan.

A five-times winner on Polytrack, including two over this course and distance, in the first half of last year, Art Man ran an encouraging race on his latest start at Great Leighs.

Back on a more familiar course, he is selected to bounce back to winning form in a tight race.

Saucy, something of a standing dish on this track, where she has gained five wins, has every chance of adding to that impressive tally in the William Hill Handicap over her favourite distance of ten furlongs.

Narrowly beaten on this course last month, Saucy could be deemed an unlucky loser as her rider dropped his whip at a crucial stage. Compensation awaits Tom Dascombe’s mare tomorrow.

The progressive Newlyn Art should go well in the William Hill January Sale Handicap.

Winner of two of his last three outings, David Elsworth’s charge is clearly going the right way and this seven furlongs event looks within his grasp, despite top weight.

Yedingham trainer Alan Brown had hoped to send Malko de Beaumont to Warwick tomorrow for a £70,000 race, but the weather has forced him to think again and it now seems likely that Brown will venture to the west coast of Scotland with the horse who last month provided him with his biggest success in the Tommy Whittle Chase at Haydock.

Tomorrow’s Blue Square Handicap Chase at Ayr’s quickly arranged extra meeting looks a suitable target for this much-improved gelding, who carries the colours of Ryedale owner David Sturdy.

Quws Law, trained by Lucinda Russell, seems to reserve his best form for Ayr, where he scored on his latest outing. He should run well in the Blue Square Novices’ Chase.

Agglestone Brook landed some tidy bets when scoring for Castleton trainer Philip Kirby at Sedgefield on Boxing Day. It would be no surprise to see him go in again in the Ayr Novices’ Handicap Hurdle.
