The race for the jockeys' championship continues apace at Lingfield tomorrow when the duelling contenders Seb Sanders and Jamie Spencer make their way to the Surrey course.
Both riders have solid chances throughout the afternoon, but Sanders may get the best of this particular argument, courtesy of a brace of winners for Jeremy Noseda.
Sanders, pictured above right, teams up with the Newmarket trainer aboard Storm Sir, who looks good in division one of the Norman Hill Memorial Maiden Stakes following a highly promising first effort at Newbury when second to Paco Boy.
Rhyming Slang, a winner for Noseda on this course last month, can follow up in the Ladbrokes Handicap and provide Sanders with a first and last race double.
As for Spencer, pictured above left, he has particularly good prospects aboard Heritage Coast in the ladbrokes.com Maiden Stakes.
Trained by Sir Michael Stoute, Heritage Coast left the impression that he was a winner waiting to happen when finishing fourth on his debut at Doncaster. He should take plenty of beating.
Racing selections
Lingfield 1.50 Storm Sir, 2.20 The Which Doctor, 2.50 Heritage Coast, 3.25 Matsunosuke, 4.00 Efistorm, 4.35 Jalil, 5.05 Kingscape, 5.35 Rhyming Slang.
Tomorrow's other meetings: Carlisle, Wolverhampton (evening).
Today's meetings: Newbury, Lingfield, Wincanton, Kempton (evening).
