MUSICAL TERMS has turned into a different horse since his mid-season gelding operation and can keep up the good work in the Bet totetrifecta At betfred.com Handicap at Chelmsford's evening meeting.

The three-year-old was certainly no slouch prior to the procedure, placing on each of his three starts at the beginning of the campaign, but after his fourth at Yarmouth in June, connections took the plunge and he was then off the track until August.

Yet it appears to have been a good decision as Musical Terms has scored twice since for trainer William Haggas in the colours of the Queen.

He landed a modest maiden at Ripon in decent style on his return before following up at Chelmsford, prevailing by a short head in a competitive handicap.

The narrow margin of victory has limited the handicapper to just a 3lb rise and Musical Terms can lift his game again as today's nap selection under Ryan Moore.

Saeed bin Suroor unleashes a couple of nice prospects under the floodlights as both Ocean Of Love and Spring Waterfall line up.

OCEAN OF LOVE contests the closing 2018 Membership Now Available Maiden Stakes, making her first start since finishing fourth on her racecourse debut last November.

The form of that race has worked out reasonably well, with a handful of moderate winners having since emerged, but Ocean Of Love ran well enough and normal improvement would be just enough to get her on the winning track.

Given the stamina on her dam's side, Ocean Of Love should appreciate the step up in trip and it is perhaps telling that Godolphin have persisted. David Egan claims a useful 3lb as today's jockey.

SPRING WATERFALL, meanwhile, is a newcomer in the Bet totequadpot At betfred.com Fillies' Novice Stakes but she boasts a pedigree that is second to none.

A half-sister to Golden Slipper winner Miss Finland, Spring Waterfall has clearly been given plenty of time before being pitched into action. Oisin Murphy takes the reins.

JONNIESOFA can make a dream return to action in the Visit The All New racinguk.com Beginners' Chase at Carlisle.

Rose Dobbin harbours high hopes for the seven-year-old, who won three of his six hurdles starts in the 2015/16 campaign before suffering an injury when ninth in the 2016 Albert Barlett at the Cheltenham Festival.

That setback kept him off the track for the whole of last season and returning after a break of more than 500 days here is obviously not ideal.

However, Dobbin believes the extra bit of time off he had last term is not necessarily a negative and Jonniesofa was always viewed as a chasing prospect in his early days.

His rating puts him right in the mix here with Craig Nichol on board and soft ground would be right up his street.

CHILLI FILLI got her head in front in a Bangor bumper back in May and can now crack on over obstacles in the Thoroughbred Breeders Association Mares' Novices' Hurdle at Ludlow.

She improved plenty from her first unplaced start in March to win by a comfortable length, with the race well under control a couple of furlongs from home.

Chilli Filli looked to have the size to tackle obstacles and she could be a nice prospect for Henry Daly, particularly with Richard Johnson in the saddle.
