RACING is going ahead at York Racecourse today despite 40mm of rainfall overnight.
Racecourse management made the decision this morning to go ahead with the second day of the John Smith's Cup after the course passed a precautionary inspection at 7.45am.
The weather forecast is for a bright warm day with temperature highs of 22C.
