IT'S back to bread and butter fare for North Yorkshire trainer Alan Swinbank at Wolverhampton tomorrow.

Fresh from his unforgettable Hong Kong win on Sunday with the remarkable Collier Hill in the Group 1 Hong Kong Vase, worth a cool £600,000 to the winner, Swinbank, who is based at Melsonby near Richmond, is chasing a £4,000 purse tomorrow with Dante's Diamond.

The four-year-old goes for the Ian Griffiths Racegoers Club Handicap and should relish the step up to an extended nine furlongs after being beaten only half a length by Spark Up over a slightly shorter trip here last time.

Dante's Diamond, who was doing all his best work late on in his latest race, has every chance to stepping up over this stiffer test to provide Swinbank with another winner, albeit a much smaller one than he gained with Collier Hill.

Thirsk trainer David Barron must have breathed a huge sigh of relief when Melvino finally ended a long losing sequence on this course last weekend. Now that he has got his head in front again, however, Melvino may be able to follow up. Tackling the same distance tomorrow, he is fancied to defy a 7lb penalty in the wbxtriplecrown.com Handicap.

Ginger Pop makes plenty of appeal in the Personalised Cards From Bonusprint.com Maiden Stakes.

George Margarson's juvenile created a good impression on his debut at Kempton to finish fourth to Estimator over six furlongs.

The benefit of that outing, plus tomorrow's furlong-longer trip, should stand Ginger Pop in excellent stead and he is awarded the nap vote.

Benny The Bat returns from a ten week break to contest the Pontin's Holidays Median Auction Maiden Stakes and, in a race which will take little winning, he looks poised to fulfil previous promise.

Over the sticks at Newbury, Evan Williams can make a happy return to the course where he recently won the Hennessy Gold Cup.

The Welsh trainer is set to saddle Rosses Point in the £15,000 Totesport Handicap Chase and last week's winner is fancied to defy a 7lb penalty. Williams could hardly be in better form, having recently taken his seasonal tally to 50 winners, while his current prize money haul is only just under £500,000.

Master d'Or, who looks to be coming to hand, is expected to gain a deserved success in the Powersolve Electronics Greatwood Charity Handicap Chase, while the promising Wogan, trained by Nicky Henderson, can open his winning account over fences in the Axminster Carpets Novices' Handicap Chase.
