MALTON jockey Tom Eaves, enjoying his best-ever year with more than 80 winners to his credit, can add to his tally at Wolverhampton tomorrow.

Eaves teams up with First Order in the wbx.com Handicap and Ian Semple's gelding is fancied to end a fairly lengthy losing run.

On his latest start, First Order ran a fine race in defeat, from out of the handicap, to finish third to the useful King Orchisios and the reliable Judd Street over five furlongs on this course.

The step up to six furlongs tomorrow, plus a drop in class, puts First Order in with a fighting chance of making Eaves' journey to Wolverhampton well worthwhile.

Salient gets the vote to complete a hat-trick of wins in the feature race on the card, the £11,000 wbx.com Launching 25th November HBLB Conditions Stakes.

John Akehurst's juvenile left punters open-mouthed when opening his account at 66-1 at Lingfield, but he proved that victory was no fluke, following up on his latest start when priced at a more respectful 9-4.

Salient faces a tougher task, and a different course here, but he is plainly useful and he is taken to oblige once again.

Hambleton trainer Bryan Smart, with a win at Southwell earlier in the week, can deliver again with Bonne de Fleur in the wbxtriplecrown.com Handicap.

The five-year-old goes well on this course and her recent fourth-placed effort behind Mr Cellophane puts her in here with a solid chance.

Situla, an all-the-way winner here recently, can follow up on her handicap bow in the November Nursery over the same distance of seven furlongs. Harry Dunlop's progressive youngster carries the nap vote.

Tomorrow's principal jumping action takes place at Newbury, where Briareus is set to make his eagerly-awaited fencing debut in the Lane Fox Beginners' Chase.

The Andrew Balding-trained gelding proved himself a high-class hurdler last season, notably when gaining a wide-margin win in the Kingwell Hurdle at Wincanton, and looks an exciting recruit.

Gungadu, who made an impressive start to his chasing career at Cheltenham, merits plenty of respect in the Unicoin Homes Handicap Chase, while his trainer Paul Nicholls can also win the City Inn NH' Maiden Hurdle with Silverburn, a good second to Rhinestone Cowboy at Aintree last month.

At Musselburgh, make a note of El Andaluz, trained at Norton by Brian Ellison, who goes for the Racing UK Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle after two runner-up efforts lately.

Kings Quay, winner of both his races in novice company for John Quinn, is a fascinating runner in the £12,000 Weatherbys Printing Handicap Hurdle and is fancied to complete a hat-trick, despite his comparative lack of experience.
