TADCASTER Albion shook off their six-match winless run as they cruised to a 3-0 victory over Long Eaton United in the Northern Counties East League.

The Brewers stayed sixth in the premier division after the Ings Lane victory, but they boast games in hand on three of the five sides above them.

Russell Headley gave Albion the lead a minute before half-time and a second-half Billy Law brace, on 65 minutes and 71 minutes, sealed the three points.

Pickering Town’s revival hit the buffers as they were thrashed 6-1 at Parkgate.

The home side took the lead through Janni Lipka after only two minutes and, despite Tom Adams equalising from the penalty spot on 13 minutes, the Pikes trailed 4-1 at the break.

Brian Cusworth netted on 29 minutes, Lipka got his second four minutes before half-time and Luke Fletcher added a goal on the whistle.

Cusworth’s second made it five four minutes after the interval and Ashley Worsfold rounded off the rout with a last-minute spot kick.

Selby Town suffered their 23rd defeat of the season as they went down 3-1 at Hall Road Rangers.

The Robins led through Roy Fogarty’s 24th minute goal, but Rangers struck back seven minutes later through Steve Gawthorpe and Paul Wilson put them ahead a minute before the break.

Steve Graham added a third Hall Road goal on 49 minutes.

Fifth-placed Scarborough Athletic beat struggling Maltby Main 3-0 thanks to second-half goals from Adam Lee, Tony Hackworth and Ryan Blott.

Former York City striker Paul Brayson bagged a last minute leveller as ten-man Harrogate Town held high-flying Stalybridge Celtic to a 1-1 draw in Blue Square Bet North at Wetherby Road.

The visitors took the lead with 15 minutes to go through Stephen Brogan, and the hosts then had defender Alan White sent off.

Harrogate Railway Athletic’s winless run in Evo-Stik League division one north stretched to seven games – but they took a point from a 1-1 draw at Mossley.

Tom Denton gave the hosts a 15th minute lead, but Railway’s Jon Maloney levelled from the penalty spot on 62 minutes.
