CRACKSHOT Copmanthorpe ended a run of five York Minster Engineering Football League reserve ‘A’ home games without a win in spectacular style.

They hammered double figures past visitors Haxby, whose Dan Hilton had given them the lead.

Wigginton maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a 5-0 win at Keystones, Pete Carney and Ben Thompson both scored a brace for the Grasshoppers to add to a goal from Craig Huggins.

Pocklington stretched their unbeaten home run in reserve ‘B’ to seven games with a comprehensive 7-1 win over White Horse which included a Mike Stacey treble and two from Jordan Morris.

Aviva won 2-1 at York RI. Scott Caul and Rob Evans struck for the visitors with Steve Gagen replying for RI while Pete Norman scored the only goal of the game as Wilberfoss beat Malton & Norton 1-0.

Lee Topping hit a hat-trick for Heslington in their 5-2 home win over Bishopthorpe. Gareth Fisher (2) completed the Heslington tally with Matty Howden and Andrew Fenwick replying.

Gareth Clarkson gave Rowntree the lead in their home encounter with reserve ‘C’ leaders Fulford, but the visitors preserved their unbeaten start to eventually win 4-2 with Adam Lewis (2), Joe Karnski and Gary Blaymires goals.

Thorpe Utd conceded three early goals at home to Poppleton but drew level before the interval only to lose 6-5.

Daniel Downey and Danny Barrett both scored twice for Pop with Nathan Patrick getting a hat-trick for Thorpe.

Bishop Wilton beat Fox 6-2 in reserve ‘D’ for their first win in 28 games. On target were Will Steel (2), Matt Beckett, Oliver Riley, Martin Pearse and Craig Scaife.
