A footballer collapsed and died on the pitch during a match at a North Yorkshire ground.
Former Mansfield and Walsall defender Matt Gadsby died after collapsing during Hinckley's Conference North match at Harrogate Town on Saturday.
The 27-year-old, who began his career with Walsall before moving on to Mansfield, Kidderminster and Forest Green, collapsed after 20 minutes the match at Wetherby Road, which was then abandoned.
Mr Gadsby fell to the ground, while the ball was at the other end of the pitch.
Paramedics battled to resuscitate the player, dashing to the scene from the ambulance station next to the ground. He died shortly afterwards in Harrogate District Hospital.
