THE big freeze gripping the North Yorkshire non-league football programme has claimed another two.
Selby Town were forced to call off their West Riding County Cup second round tie with Yorkshire Amateur for a fifth time.
The game had been rescheduled for last night but the Flaxley Road playing surface was covered with snow and the pitch was still frozen.
In keeping with the majority of the region’s non-league sides, Selby have not played since Saturday, December 12.
The teams will try again next Tuesday, at 7.45pm.
The Robins are due to visit Grimsby Borough on Wednesday, January 13 in the Northern Counties East League Cup.
That fixture will go ahead if the West Riding County Cup tie is postponed again.
Meanwhile, Harrogate Town’s home clash with Workington Town in Blue Square North, scheduled for last night, was also postponed.
