Division three leaders York St John University lost their unbeaten Ian’s Cars of Barlby Sunday Morning Football League record after going down 7-2 to visitors Station FC.
Top scoring for Station was Gary Collier with a treble, while Ian Beckram added a brace and Cy Mortimer and Tom Grundy the others. St John’s replies came from Michael Warner and Dean Sharp.
Shoulder of Mutton stayed second after beating Cawood 5-2 with goals by Jim Muir, John Turbine, Neil Robertson and Mark Burton (2). The Villagers’ goals came from from James Pearson and Pete McGloughlan.
A hat-trick from Stuart Pea, plus single strikes from Danny Tame, Gary Stewart and Dave Pavey, saw Hambleton Lions take the points in a 6-1 win at Bishopthorpe, who replied through Andy Manns.
Acomb Athletic lost 5-3 at home to Gypsy Moth. On target for Acomb were Craig Ackroyd, Matty Jackson and Tom Thompson.
