Hounds rattled up five wins out of five when they beat Shipton 4-1 to close the gap on the York F1 Racing-Premier Karting Sunday Football League leaders to three points.

In the only first division fixture to beat the deluge, first-half goals from full-back Daz Rollinson and Chris Harkin put Hounds 2-0 up before Shipton replied through Matty Wain.

But a second goal for Harkin and a late strike from Alan Jackson sealed Hounds' win.

The division two duel between Pocklington and Wanderers saw the latter maintain their unbeaten record in an 11-goal thriller.

Wanderers led 5-3 at the break with double strikes from Dave Newton and Paul Beddingham, plus a Danny Coulson goal, Pocklington replying with a James Rudd goal plus a brace from Charlie Bond.

Rich Beddingham and Bill Allen put Wanderers 7-4 up before a late strike from Stuart Lawson.

Hambleton went third after beating Copmanthorpe 5-2 with goals from Ian Huddlestone, Nigel Croad, Matty Dunne and Dayle Teale (2). Copmanthorpe's tally was shared by Derek Neaves (penalty) and James Gilbertson.

Albion Vaults increased their division three lead with a 3-0 win over Wilberfoss. Steve Rowbottom, Lee Ward and Adam Durning scored.

New Earswick travelled to Station at Selby where they found themselves 2-0 down by half-time after a Craig Campbell brace. Glen Littlewood added a third to give the points to Station.

CPP reversed their fixture with division four leaders Gypsy Moth and were hammered 15-1.

John Maher led the way with four goals followed by hat-tricks from James Lumb, Liam Hallam and Daniel Oxtoby and a brace of foals by Mark Sheldon. CPP's lone goal was hit by Chris McCluskey.

Another team to suffer travel-sickness were Linton-on-Ouse, who crashed 13-0 at Marcia Grey.

Carl Stewart (4) just edged hat-trick aces Paul Harris, Chris Murcutt and defender Carl Massingham to the plunder plaudits.

Acorn stay second on goal difference after a 4-1 win over Askham Bar with goals from Dave White, Leigh Dutton, Dave Melody and a Kev Brundrett penalty. Alan Darby replied.

The derby between Selby Olympia Reserves and Hambleton saw Olympia winning 5-1.

A Jamie Newey hat-trick was supplemented by goals from Haydn Parsonage and John Richardson. Marc Glover was Hambleton's marksman.
