TADCASTER Albion manager Curtis Woodhouse has made the first signing of his tenure after securing the services of some already-established Brewers.

Former Sheffield United and Welsh under-19 centre-back Ioan Evans moves to Ings Lane from Evo-Stik League premier division side Gainsborough Trinity.

The 22-year-old is set to join up with Josh Barrett, Andy Milne, Jason Mycoe, Jake Rose and Jack Walters, all of whom have committed to Albion for next season.

On the capture of Evans for ESL north/west side Taddy, Woodhouse told the club's website: "I’m delighted to be working with Ioan, a central defender I’ve admired for some time after watching him numerous times at Sheffield United and Gainsborough.

"I’m really happy to get this over the line.

"A former Welsh international at U16 and U19 level, he comes with vast experience for somebody still so young.

"Ioan is dominant in the air, comfortable on the ball and reads the game really well. He will be a massive presence for us at the back."
