POPPLETON beat mid-table rivals Rawcliffe 3-1 in the final contest of the York & District FA Under-19s League division one to leapfrog them into third.
The sides were level on 20 points going into the game, but goals from Tom McCrory, Cam Taylor and Dylan Anderson for hosts Poppy swung the balance in their favour.
Joe Manship replied for Rawcliffe.
In division two, Barmby Moor clinched the title with the last-day win they needed to edge out second-placed finishers Fulford by a single point.
