TADCASTER Albion continue their hectic festive schedule in Evo-Stik League division one north with another tough task tomorrow.

The Brewers, beaten 3-0 at play-off chasers Scarborough Athletic in a North Yorkshire derby on Boxing Day, travel to second-placed Prescot Cables (3pm).

They then host Brighouse Town in what, on paper, is an easier fixture on New Year's Day, albeit against a side fighting to get out of relegation danger.

Scarborough face a big few days, hosting another side with play-off hopes in Clitheroe tomorrow (3pm) before going to table-toppers South Shields on Monday.

Northern Counties East League clubs are getting an easier time of it this festive period, playing only on Saturdays.

Pickering Town go to mid-table Liversedge for their quick rematch having needed a last-minute goal from Billy Logan to grab a point in their encounter at Mill Lane last Saturday. Liversedge had surprisingly led 2-0.

That point put the Pikes level with third-placed Pontefract after the Collieries' shock defeat at Garforth Town.

Lowly Harrogate Railway Athletic have the weekend off.

There is a big North Yorkshire derby rematch in division one as sixth-placed Selby Town host Knaresborough Town. Boro won the reverse meeting 2-1 last Saturday thanks to a penalty by Daniel Thirkell six minutes into the second half, to maintain their grip on top spot.

National League North high-fliers Harrogate Town get the weekend off before hosting 17th-placed Darlington on New Year's Day (3pm) seeking immediate revenge.

Second-placed Town lost 3-1 to Darlo in the reverse fixture on Boxing Day to fall six points behind leaders Salford City - after having both Warren Burrell and Terry Kennedy sent off with the hosts netting two penalties.
