YORK City Ladies will play their own reserve side in the final of the North Riding Women's FA Cup final next month.
Bizarrely, the Ladies, who are six-time winners of the trophy, have reached the final without having to play a single game due to 'walk-over' wins against Fishburn Park, Guisborough and Stokesley.
The reserves, meanwhile, had to battle through games against South Park Rangers, Cleveland, and York Railway Institute - who they beat 4-2 in the semi-final.
The Ladies will be making a record tenth appearance in the final which is scheduled to take place on Sunday April 23 at Poppleton.
The reserves have reached the final for the first time and are also preparing for League Cup quarter-final against Women's Premier League title chasers Norton & Stockton Ancients.
